  • Craig B. Frey, DPM

    Dr. Craig B. Frey is a fully licensed foot and ankle surgeon in the state of Ohio. He is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Ohio Podiatric Medical Association. Born and raised in Solon, OH, he attended both the Solon public school system and graduated high school from Gilmour Academy. Listed below is his educational background: Washington and Jefferson College ’08 B.S. Biology Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine ’12 Doctor of Podiatric Medicine Cleveland Clinic Foundation ’13 Internship Cleveland Clinic Foundation/Mercy Regional Medical Center ’15 Chief Resident Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery Treats: Adults and Pediatrics Surgeon: Yes Dr. Frey has surgical interests in minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery, diabetic reconstructive surgery and management, ankle arthroscopy, athletes and sports injuries, fracture care, trauma, pediatric foot and ankle surgery, as well as bunion and hammertoe surgery. He has advanced training in total ankle replacement, foot and ankle arthroscopy, and diabetic limb salvage with external fixation. Dr. Frey serves as an adjunct faculty member at Kent State University’s Podiatric Medical School. In medical school, he served as President of the school’s academic fraternity and served on the board of the Ohio Medical Podiatric Student’s Association. He currently lectures at regional medical conferences and symposiums. Dr. Frey is still heavily involved in his community. He serves as an ex-officio Trustee on the Board of Trustees at his Alma Mater, Gilmour Academy. He is also co-president of the Alumni Association at Gilmour Academy. He was recently elected into the Gilmour Academy Hall of Fame in 2014. Dr. Frey has a large focus on the treatment of athletes, with an extensive athletic background. While attending Washington and Jefferson College, he played and served as captain of the collegiate hockey team. He was a member of Team USA World Inline Hockey Team, winning both a gold and silver medal.

  • Megan L. Oltmann, DPM

    Dr. Megan L. Oltmann is a foot and ankle surgeon in the state of Ohio. She is board qualified in forefoot, rearfoot, and reconstructive ankle surgery. She is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, American Podiatric Medical Association, Ohio Foot and Ankle Medical Association, American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management and the Institute for Podiatric Excellence and Development. Dr. Oltmann was born and raised in Hubbard, Oh, a small suburb of Youngstown, Oh. She grew up dancing competitively and playing volleyball. She graduated with honors from Hubbard High School. Below is her educational background. Dr. Oltmann has advanced training in external fixation. During her time at KSUCPM Dr. Oltmann was President of the American Association for Women Podiatrist, Secretary of the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management, and Social Chair of Ohio Podiatric Medical Student Association. Dr. Oltmann was awarded with the B.C. Egerter Practice Management Award for excellence in patient management and voluntary participation in community projects as well as the Joseph P. Sullivan Memorial Award for her multiple contributions to various programs at KSUCPM. She continues to give back to the profession by lecturing to incoming students at KSUCPM. Dr. Oltmann is teaching faculty at the Mercy Health/Northern Ohio Foot and Ankle Foundation Residency Program. Dr. Oltmann is published in Podiatry Today with an article entitled “A Closer Look at Perfusion Assessment Techniques.” She presented a poster at the Symposium for Advanced Wound Care in San Antonio, TX with a poster entitled “Limb Salvage in the Setting of Severe Peripheral Arterial Disease with Left Ventricular Assist Device.” In February of 2016 published by Northern Ohio Foot and Ankle Foundation Journal she wrote a paper entitled “A Review of Common Foot and Ankle Injuries Sustained by Dancers.” In her spare time Dr. Oltmann enjoys working out, swimming in the summer months, playing volleyball, running, cooking, and baking. When she has a free weekend she enjoys traveling back to the Youngstown area where much of her family resides. She married her husband in 2014. They enjoy traveling, golfing, and skiing together as well as playing with their Golden Retriever “Braxton”.
