    Pilates Instructor

I first experienced Pilates a little over six years ago. Pilates has changed my life! Working as a stylist over the past 17 years has really put a strain on my lower back and body. Pilates has strengthened my core and lower back. It has taught me body awareness, helped with my posture and all over form, making my work days less painful. Pilates has taught me to love and appreciate my body. This is something I have struggled with for many years. Until I started doing Pilates, I didn’t fully understand how the body worked. The body is a unit, it’s not about your shape or your size, it’s about the mind and the energy that you put into making a transformation. This year I have had the opportunity to learn so much in the teacher training program through Club Pilates! It has been an amazing experience. As an instructor, I am looking forward to providing clients with knowledge, positive energy, and help them change their lives! I understand the mental and emotional challenges a person can go through with body issues. The pure joy in helping others overcome their obstacles while reaching their goals of building a stronger body and mind will be immeasurable!”

    Instructor

My passion for movement began in my mid-twenties when I spent all of my free time cycling and lifting weights. By my mid-thirties I realized that I needed a more holistic approach to wellness. I took my first reformer Pilates class in 2010 while I was trying to get back in shape after my second pregnancy. I have been hooked on reformer Pilates ever since. I love teaching both group classes and private sessions. It is a privilege to help people develop and explore their own Pilates practice, witnessing shifts in awareness, and the deepening of the mind-body connection.

  • Henry Gilbert

    Instructor

My passion for health and physical conditioning began when I touched my first weight at age 11. During my undergraduate years at Penn State, I joined the powerlifting team, changed my major and went on to earn a B.S. in Kinesiology and an M.S. in Health & Human Performance. I worked as a collegiate assistant strength coach for three years and earned my CSCS certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. While coaching student athletes, I found that I loved helping others understand and take control of their own bodies. My fascination with Pilates began recently, when after just a few sessions, I noticed physical changes in my posture, and increased awareness over my body. I embrace the challenge of blending my knowledge from strength coaching with Pilates techniques in order to help others achieve their health & fitness goals."

  • Alaina Roth

    Instructor

Alaina started her career in health and wellness as a certified Athletic trainer. Having received her Master’s in Nutrition from Northeastern University she made the switch to personal training as a certified strength and conditioning specialist (NSCA-CSCS). It was through an unfortunate low back injury that Alaina discovered Pilates for herself. The balance, stability, and body awareness Pilates gave her was the perfect compliment to her strength training. Realizing what a pivotal tool Pilates could be for injury care and prevention as well as a tool in increasing physical performance, Alaina pursued training in Mat and Reformer through STOTT Pilates. With her background in athletic training, she has taught a wide range of clientele from those seeking sports performance, to injured populations, to anyone looking to just feel better and more in tune with their body. She loves sharing her passion for health and wellness with everyone!
